Between Life and Death – The Moral and Medical Dilemmas of Euthanasia
At the first Többletelő evening of the year, we explored a particularly complex and sensitive topic: the moral and medical dilemmas of euthanasia. Our guest speaker, Dr. Judit Kovács, Chief Anesthesiologist and Intensive Care Specialist, provided an in-depth presentation on the true meaning of euthanasia, its historical and legal background, as well as the difficult ethical questions that arise in connection with the topic.
Diseases in the Bible and Today
On December 12, 2024, a special Többletelő evening took place, differing from the usual Wednesday gatherings. The central theme of the event was diseases in the Bible and in modern times, which we explored with the help of our guest speaker, Dr. Melinda Kolcsár, endocrinologist and university professor.
Our foundation has grown with 29 enthusiastic new volunteers after the weekend training! Participants deepened their knowledge in lifestyle, sexual education, drug prevention, and BLS.
We held our successful training on September 6, 2024, which exceeded participants’ expectations. The goal of the program was to help professionals working with chronic patients to enhance patient cooperation.
The Szent Balázs Foundation also participated in the “Egészségforgatag” 2024 at the invitation of Gedeon Richter Romania. Our aim was to raise awareness about the risks of hypertension and diabetes. During the programme, participants received free blood pressure and blood glucose screenings.
“Really medicine? How much is that much?” (Our medicine-taking habits.) visitors to the “Vibekoli” tent were treated to an interesting presentation and discussion. We thank Gedeon Richter and dr. The exciting performance for Zsófia Germán Salló!
