How can we find balance in a competitive world?

At last night’s Többletelő Evening, we explored the themes of competition, performance, and inner motivation – thinking together, openly and honestly, about how to stay balanced in a performance-oriented world.

A key takeaway of the evening was that self-awareness is the only real boundary in competition. The lack of mental balance can, in the long run, endanger the quality of both learning and work; therefore, setting priorities and practicing self-reflection are essential.

In the medical field, success is particularly difficult to measure: empathy, attentiveness, and the quality of healing cannot be expressed in numbers. True performance requires teamwork, honest feedback, and genuine human presence.

One of the most important messages of the discussion:

  • our only real competitor is ourselves from last year.
Failures should not hold us back – they should teach us!

Thank you all for your active participation!
