The MEDIT conference, held in Borospataka from June 7–11, 2023, aimed to provide high-quality professional continuing education in participants’ native language, facilitate experience exchange, and strengthen professional networks in a family-friendly environment. The event offered participants a comprehensive overview of the etiology and treatment of pancreatogenic diabetes, followed by interdisciplinary discussions on the links between cancer, infections, and diabetic foot complications. Technological innovations in diabetes care, including insulin pumps, sensors, and case studies, were also covered.

The program included modern therapeutic options for diabetes, such as SGLT2 inhibitors, GLP-1 receptor agonists, and new types of insulin, as well as community experiences of living with diabetes, from the Yuppi camp to the role of patient associations. The event contributed to the expansion of professional knowledge, keeping up with technological advancements, and sharing practical experiences, while reinforcing collaboration among Hungarian professionals across borders.
