Between November 22–24, 2019, Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania hosted the Digital Medicine Conference, where over the course of three days 29 speakers and 126 participants explored the development opportunities of digital healthcare.
Digital Medicine Conference

The conference addressed topics ranging from applications in intensive care to the diagnostic role of artificial intelligence and the health-promoting impact of social media. Particular interest was drawn to current issues such as the relationship between genomics and informatics, intelligent preventive tools, and the digital future of precision oncology.
Beyond theoretical presentations, the conference provided a particularly valuable space for the transfer of practical knowledge as well. The parallel workshops—covering areas such as 3D intraoral scanning, minimally invasive implantology, and digital forgiveness—enabled participants to gain more direct, hands-on experience. The event concluded with a panel discussion in which participants jointly explored the question of where the physician’s role remains in healing amid the advancing digitalization.
