Between February 21–23, 2025, the Cultural Palace hosted the conference MICROBIOME: Coexisting with an Invisible World, where 28 speakers and 537 participants immersed themselves in the exciting and ever-evolving field of microbiome research over three days.
The opening day’s lectures provided a comprehensive overview of the microbiome’s role in immune system function, the development of infectious diseases, and drug research and development. In the evening program, science and art converged: sculpture and macro photography exhibitions offered new perspectives on exploring the invisible world.
On Saturday morning, presentations examined the role of the microbiome in metabolic diseases, tumors, and irritable bowel syndrome. The afternoon workshops explored the connections between the microbiome and epigenetics, the challenges of medical orientation, and maintaining gut flora balance through interactive discussions. The evening concluded with cardiology lectures, panel discussions, and a special folk dance performance.
On the third day, we focused on the microbiome’s role in neuropsychiatric and endocrine disorders, as well as the development of gut flora in childhood. The event concluded with an engaging panel discussion where participants examined the practical significance of microbiome testing—when and for whom it is recommended.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our speakers for their high-quality, professionally outstanding presentations, and to our participants for their questions and active engagement, which brought the conference to life!
