The program aimed to prepare participants both <strong>professionally and emotionally<\/strong>, helping them engage with empathy and understanding in their future work with elderly and ill individuals.<\/p><p>The <strong>first day<\/strong> focused on theoretical and mental preparation.<br>The program opened with a spiritual reflection led by <strong>Fr. Andr\u00e1s Csaba SJ<\/strong>, Jesuit priest, followed by <strong>Dr. Ildik\u00f3 Vicsi, mentor<\/strong>, who presented the volunteer program plan, explained the responsibilities of volunteers, and led situational exercises.<br><strong>Dr. Zsuzsanna Sz. Csorv\u00e1si<\/strong>, mental health specialist, gave two insightful presentations \u2013 <em>Understanding Time<\/em> and <em>Communication Techniques<\/em> \u2013 highlighting the importance of empathy, patience, and genuine human connection.<br>The day concluded with the personal testimony of <strong>Szilvia T\u00f6visi<\/strong>, physiotherapist and former volunteer, who shared her inspiring experiences.<\/p><p>The <strong>second day<\/strong> of the training took place at the <strong>Lazarenum Foundation\u2019s Elderly Home in T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219<\/strong>, where the practical session was coordinated by <strong>Marika Kacs\u00f3, senior medical assistant<\/strong>. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the institution\u2019s daily routine, its operations, and the practical aspects of elderly care.<\/p><p>The training unfolded in a <strong>warm and open atmosphere<\/strong>, and the residents of the home welcomed the young volunteers with joy.
